Then my partner Toby and I fell in love with a Millhouse in France. The Mill sustained damage during world war 2 and was left that way until the commune bought it and made it safe, then sold it on. It needed a full restoration and was not habitable, however never the less we followed our hearts, took the plunge and bought the place, our dream, our future, our little bubble.
We bought the Moulin de Bizoin in Merleac, Brittany in 2020. We gave our lives up in England and worked hard on the property to make it our home. The restoration is still ongoing but the beauty of the Mill is shining through and coming alive once again.
The Moulin de Bizoin contains a 3 bedroom cottage and a 3 story mill. It is set in just under 2 acres of land. The Mill backs onto the lake with the river Ouest splits and runs around the mill joining again after the camping field.
Future plans include building 2 gites, a bar/cafe, a bigger yoga studio/function room and an attic apartment in the mill. We will be hosting events and functions, plus glamping in the field.
